Script
In 1924, they found the body of a young man stretched out at the foot of the Black Aggie statue in Druid Ridge Cemetery, Maryland, his limbs twisted unnaturally against the moss-covered base. For seventeen years before that night, the statue had drawn crowds of students and thrill seekers, all daring each other to spend midnight hours under Black Aggie's outstretched arms. The statue itself was cast in 1907, a sickly gray figure with blank eyes carved so deep, no light ever seemed to reach them, and stories started almost immediately-graves around her grew no grass, and mourners reported feeling sudden chills that wouldn't vanish even in summer. By the 1920s, locals whispered that anyone sitting on her lap at midnight would be cursed, or worse, find hand-shaped bruises the next morning, and police began to patrol for trespassers after a rash of unexplained faintings and shattered gravestones. The legends only grew after that death-fingers claimed to see the statue blink on moonless nights or change position by morning, and engraved names around her cracked as if struck from inside the marble. For nearly half a century, Black Aggie stood guard, until in 1967, the statue was abruptly removed by the owner, ending the gatherings overnight-because so many people had started leaving with the same report: the sensation of ice-cold hands gripping their shoulders, and a perfect ring of frostburn around their necks.
