AutoFeed MCP server

Make videos from Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor.

Connect AutoFeed to your AI assistant and ask for a video in plain words. It picks one of 8 video types, tells you the price, and hands back a finished MP4. Same pipeline and same credits as the dashboard, included with Ultimate.

Server URL
https://www.autofeed.ai/api/mcp

Set It Up in a Minute

Claude and ChatGPT sign in with OAuth, so there is no key to copy. Developer tools can use an API key instead.

Claude (web, Desktop, mobile)

  1. In Claude, open Settings, then Connectors, and choose Add custom connector.
  2. Name it AutoFeed and paste https://www.autofeed.ai/api/mcp as the server URL.
  3. Click Connect, sign in to AutoFeed and press Allow.
  4. In a chat, turn AutoFeed on from the tools menu and ask for a video.

No key needed: Claude signs in with OAuth. One connection covers claude.ai, Claude Desktop and the mobile apps.

ChatGPT

  1. In ChatGPT, open Settings, then Apps, and turn on Developer mode under Advanced settings.
  2. Choose Create app, name it AutoFeed, paste https://www.autofeed.ai/api/mcp and pick OAuth.
  3. Sign in to AutoFeed when asked and press Allow.
  4. Start a chat, pick AutoFeed from the + menu and ask for a video.

Developer mode is available on paid ChatGPT plans. No key needed: ChatGPT signs in with OAuth.

Claude Code

  1. Create a key under Dashboard, API Keys.
  2. Run the command below with your key.
Terminal
claude mcp add autofeed --transport http https://www.autofeed.ai/api/mcp --header "Authorization: Bearer af_live_YOUR_KEY"

Or skip the key: connect AutoFeed in Claude first, and Claude Code signed in to the same account loads it automatically.

Cursor and other MCP clients

  1. Create a key under Dashboard, API Keys.
  2. Add the server to ~/.cursor/mcp.json (or your client’s MCP config) with your key.
mcp.json
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "autofeed": {
      "url": "https://www.autofeed.ai/api/mcp",
      "headers": {
        "Authorization": "Bearer af_live_YOUR_KEY"
      }
    }
  }
}

Any client that speaks Streamable HTTP works the same way, with a key or with OAuth.

6 Tools, One of Them Spends Credits

Each tool is a call to the public Video API, with its prices, limits and errors. Only creating a video costs anything.

list_video_typesFree
Lists the AutoFeed video types (AI slideshow, Reddit story, would you rather, pick one, fake text, UGC ad, AI video, YouTube clips) with prices in credits and an example input, plus every AI video model.
estimate_creditsFree
Prices a video request without creating it: validates `type` and `input` exactly as create_video would and returns the credits it would cost, the current balance and whether it is enough.
create_videoSpends credits
Starts rendering a video and SPENDS CREDITS from the AutoFeed balance (the price estimate_credits returns).
get_videoFree
Returns one generation: status (processing, completed, failed), the MP4 `url` once completed (`clipUrls` for yt_clips), the error if it failed (failed renders are refunded automatically) and its cost.
list_videosFree
Lists the account's videos, newest first (dashboard videos included), optionally filtered by type or status.
get_accountFree
Returns the AutoFeed account: credit balance, plan, whether it includes API access (Ultimate), rate limits and videos in flight.

Things to Ask

  • “Make a 30 second Reddit story video about a roommate who ate my birthday cake.”
  • “How many credits would a would you rather video about superheroes cost?”
  • “Turn this script into a fake text conversation video in dark mode.”
  • “Show me the videos I made this week and their links.”

MCP Questions, Answered

Which plan do I need?

Creating videos needs Ultimate, the plan that includes the Video API. Any account can connect and use the free tools: browse video types, check prices and read its balance.

Does it cost extra?

No. A video made from chat costs the same credits as the same video made in the dashboard or through the API, and comes out of the same balance. Every other tool is free.

Will my assistant spend credits without asking?

The create tool is marked as one that changes your account, so Claude and ChatGPT ask you to confirm before running it unless you chose to always allow it. The server also tells the assistant to quote the price first.

How long does a video take?

Usually 1 to 5 minutes. The assistant starts the render, then checks on it until the MP4 link is ready. Links are kept for 14 days, so download anything you want to keep.

Key or OAuth?

Claude and ChatGPT sign in with OAuth: you approve the connection on autofeed.ai and never handle a key. Cursor, Claude Code and other developer tools can use an API key in a header instead.

How do I disconnect an app?

Remove the connector in Claude or ChatGPT, or press Disconnect next to it under Dashboard, API Keys. For a key-based client, revoke the key.

Prefer Code?

The same video types are a REST call away, with signed webhooks and an OpenAPI spec.
