How AutoFeed Posts and Handles Your Data

Which APIs AutoFeed uses to publish, what happens to your credits when a render fails, who owns the videos, and what is stored.

Posting

Official APIs Only

How AutoFeed reaches your channels, and what it is allowed to do there.

  1. TikTok: the official Content Posting API

AutoFeed connects through TikTok Login and publishes with TikTok's Content Posting API, the same route TikTok offers every approved app. It asks for 6 permissions: your basic profile and stats, your video list (to read the views shown in your dashboard), and video upload and publish.

  2. YouTube: the YouTube Data API, through a Google-verified app

AutoFeed signs in with Google and uploads with the YouTube Data API. It asks for two scopes: youtube.upload to publish, and youtube.force-ssl, the only scope YouTube offers for posting the optional first comment. Google reviewed and verified the app for those scopes.

  3. No passwords, and you can disconnect at any time

AutoFeed never sees your TikTok or Google password: each platform hands it a token after you approve the connection on the platform's own screen. Disconnect an account in AutoFeed, or revoke access from the platform's security settings, and posting stops.

Credits

Failed Renders Are Refunded

You pay for videos that finish, not for ones that fail.

  1. Charged when a video starts, refunded when it fails

Credits are deducted when generation begins. If the render fails, the credits go back to your balance automatically in the same step that marks the video as failed; there is no ticket to file.

  2. Stuck renders are caught too

A sweeper checks for videos still generating after 15 minutes, marks them as timed out and refunds them.

  3. Not enough credits means nothing was charged

A video that never starts because the balance is too low is not a failure and costs nothing.

Your videos

You Own What You Make

Ownership, watermarks, how long files are kept and the public library.

  1. Your videos are yours

You keep full ownership of what you create, as the Terms of Service say. Post it, edit it or sell it wherever you like.

  2. No watermark, on every plan

Every plan exports full HD with no AutoFeed watermark or logo burned into the video.

  3. Renders are kept for 14 days

Rendered files are deleted from storage 14 days after they are made, long enough for every scheduled post to go out. Download anything you want to keep; the posted copy stays on your channel.

  4. The public video library is opt-out

Videos a series posts publicly can appear in the AutoFeed video library with their script and settings. Turn off Feature my videos in Account settings and none of yours are shown.

Data

What Is Stored

The short version of the Privacy Policy.

  1. What AutoFeed stores

Your account email, the tokens of the accounts you connect, your series settings and schedule, the videos you generate (for the retention window above) and their post history and views.

  2. What it does not

Card details: payments are processed by Stripe and stored by Stripe. Your social media passwords: see above.

  3. The full policies

Everything collected, why, for how long and how to delete it is in the Privacy Policy. The rules for using AutoFeed are in the Terms of Service.

Questions

Is it safe to connect my TikTok or YouTube account?

AutoFeed connects only through TikTok and Google sign-in screens and posts only through their official APIs. It never sees your password, and you can revoke access at any time.

Can AutoFeed post to Instagram or Facebook?

Not yet. Auto-posting works with TikTok and YouTube Shorts. You can download any video and post it anywhere else yourself.

What happens to my credits if a video fails?

They are refunded automatically, either when the failure happens or, if a render gets stuck, within about a quarter of an hour.

How do I delete my data?

Email hi@autofeed.ai from your account email; the Privacy Policy explains what is deleted and what must be kept for legal reasons.
