The Bizarre Lights Over Pinecrest Drive, 1994

A single column of bluish light hung motionless above 814 Pinecrest Drive on the night of August 22nd, 1994. Neighbors said it wasn’t like car headlights or flashlights-this was silent, slightly pulsing, and tall enough to reach past the rooftops. By midnight, more residents had gathered in the street just to stare as the light began to drift, carving slow circles over each front yard but leaving no sound, no visible beam, and-most disturbing-no source. Then, on the third night, the lights multiplied: three columns, swaying in synchrony while dogs barked and porch lights flickered off with no power outage reported. A set of small animal bones was found perfectly arranged beneath where the biggest light had hovered. Only after this last event did the lights vanish together, never appearing again. The explanation given by local authorities-faulty utilities-didn’t explain why no wires ran above Pinecrest Drive, or how every witness described the exact same slow, cold blue glow.
