Penny and Jasper’s Moonlight Lemonade Stand

At exactly twelve o’clock, Penny Mouse spotted a sparkling yellow lemon floating on Willow Hollow Lake. Jasper Squirrel wobbled on the wooden dock, eyes wide, trying not to fall in as the lemon drifted closer and closer. But when Penny reached out with her tiny paw, the lemon gave the tiniest giggle and bobbed out of sight behind a patch of glowing lilies. Jasper peered through the moonbeams and pointed-a silvery tail had just slipped under the water. The friends tiptoed along the shore, their hearts beating as the flickering fireflies made secret shapes in the reeds. Suddenly, a plop-up popped the lemon right in front of Penny, now shining brighter than before. Penny grabbed it gently, and her paws tingled with a warm, happy magic. Right then, a crowd of giggling night critters gathered, their noses twitching from the sweet lemony smell. Jasper remembered the old recipe from Nanna Squirrel’s book-lemonade that sparkles under moonlight. Penny squeezed the magical lemon, but instead of juice, out poured a glittery fizzy cloud! The critters gasped, racing to catch the sweet cloud as it swirled and spun above their heads. But every time they tried, the cloud whooshed just out of reach, leaving everyone giggling harder. Penny thought quickly-what if everyone worked together, holding paws and tails to make a giant net of friendship? All together, they made a big circle, and on the count of three, they caught the magical lemonade cloud. The sparkling lemonade split into tiny glowing drops, filling every cup and paw with star-bright sweetness. Penny and Jasper sipped, laughing as their whiskers glowed golden under the moon. That night, the friends learned the glow was brightest and the laughter the happiest when everyone shared a magical treat together.
