Script
In 2017, the University of California ran a memory test for students listening to lectures at normal speed and at 1.5x. Both groups were played the same neuroscience content, but the 1.5x group finished in two-thirds the time. All they did was tap the speed control and listen with notes open, no pause or rewind allowed. When tested, the 1.5x listeners scored the same on recall as those at normal speed, recovering an average of fourteen minutes per hour-long lecture by the end of the week.
