AutoFeed for n8n

Build a faceless channel pipeline in n8n: pick a topic, make the video with AutoFeed, wait for the webhook, then post it. The templates below import in one click and work on n8n Cloud and self-hosted n8n.

Set Up AutoFeed in n8n

You need an AutoFeed Ultimate plan for the API key. Everything else is built into the tool.

  1. 1

    Create an API key

On the Ultimate plan, open Dashboard > API Keys on AutoFeed.ai and create a key. It starts with af_live_.

  2. 2

Add it to n8n as a Header Auth credential

In n8n, create a Header Auth credential called "AutoFeed API key" with Name set to Authorization and Value set to "Bearer af_live_...".

  3. 3

    Import a template

Open a new workflow, choose Import from URL in the workflow menu and paste a template URL from this page. Or download the JSON and paste it onto the canvas.

  4. 4

Pick your credentials and run it once

Select the AutoFeed credential on the HTTP Request node that calls www.autofeed.ai, connect Google or YouTube where the template needs them, then run the workflow manually to check it.

  5. 5

Let the Wait node catch the video

The create call sends {{ $execution.resumeUrl }} as webhookUrl. AutoFeed posts the finished video there and the Wait node resumes with status and url in $json.body. This needs n8n on public https, which n8n Cloud is. On a local n8n, wait a few minutes and read GET /v1/videos/{id} instead.

}) }}

Import-Ready n8n Templates

In n8n, open a new workflow, choose Import from URL and paste the address. Built-in nodes only, so they work on n8n Cloud and self-hosted.

Native AutoFeed node: coming soon

A native AutoFeed node (n8n-nodes-autofeed) is on its way to the n8n community node listing. The templates above use n8n's built-in nodes, so you do not need to wait for it.

  • Create Video for all 8 types, with dropdowns read from the live API (categories, languages, music, AI video models and their durations)
  • Wait for Completion option, so one node returns the finished MP4
  • Get Video, Get Many Videos, Get Account and Get Video Types
  • AutoFeed Trigger: starts a workflow when a video completes or fails

n8n Questions, Answered

Do the templates need a community node?

No. They use n8n built-in nodes only (HTTP Request, Wait, Google Sheets, YouTube, Google Drive, RSS), so they import on n8n Cloud and on any self-hosted n8n.

My n8n runs on localhost. Will the Wait node work?

AutoFeed only delivers webhooks to public https URLs, so a local n8n never receives one. Replace the Wait node with a Wait of a few minutes followed by an HTTP GET to /v1/videos/{id}, and loop until status is completed or failed.

Which AutoFeed plan do I need?

The Video API is included with the Ultimate plan. Every integration on this page uses the same API key and spends the same credits as the dashboard, at the same price per video.

What happens if a video fails?

Credits are charged when AutoFeed accepts the request and refunded in full automatically if the video fails. The webhook (or GET /v1/videos/{id}) then shows status "failed" with the reason.

Does the API post the video for me?

No. The API makes the video and gives you an MP4 URL, kept for 14 days. Your workflow posts it, for example with a YouTube upload step, or you can schedule posting with AutoFeed autoposting in the dashboard.

How do I avoid paying twice when a step retries?

Send an idempotencyKey that is unique per video, such as the sheet row number. A retry with the same key and the same body returns the original video and charges nothing.
